Looking for a fuel that is almost free and enviromentally harmless? Then look no further than WATER!!!!! We have worked on the fringes of hydrogen cell technology for nearly 9 years, in which time we have seen a reversal of interest from producing electricity using hydrogen (by product water), to hydrogen production from water, using electricity. In fact those who may have an interest in this technology may recently have seen crude forms of cells made from jam jars, plastic pipes and assorted pieces of metal. These will produce hydrogen in small quantities, some producing enough gas to supplement a vehicles engine requirements. However, virtually all are inherently dangerous and lack the ability to become a reliable and long lasting piece of automotive equipment. Advanced Fuel Technologies are now pleased to announce the launch of our latest product, which is undoubtedly the way forward for Automotive supplementary fuelling for the forseeable future....HYDROGENX HYDROGENX is the latest in dry cell, rather than the more common and less safe, wet cell product. It requires minimal installation and does not require a storage tank, as fuel is only produuced whilst the vehicle is in operation. It also runs much cooler than wet cells, and in operation is a much safer option as the hydrogen gas is produced from plates in a totally enclosed chamber.Being upto 5 times as volatile as normal fuels, this is particularly important ,for obvious reasons of safety! To ensure that the plates are constantly immersed in electrolyte (distilled water and potassium hydroxide), the cell is linked to a bubbler reservoir. This allows the fluid to circulate along with the gas, and ensures that the electrolyte constantly covers the plates in the cell.This ensures a constant gas supply, cooling and ultimately longevity of the production plates. So how does the system produce something so valuable from water??!! If you think back to school experiments where 2 water immersed nails connected by wires to a battery, produced small bubbles of hydrogen at the negative annode, and oxygen at the positive cathode, then this is the basis on which the system operates. Greater gas production is encouraged by the use of a distilled water and potassium hydroxide mix to form a better conducting electrolyte solution.Water itself is 2 parts hydrogen ans one part oxygen, both of which in a gaseous form will burn very efficiently, the only by product being steam, or recombined water vapour. Distilled water is used rather than tap water, as the water that we drink has too many impurities, which can result if used in a deposited sludge at the bottom of the tank. This needless to say is undesireable, as it can also coat the plates resulting in a loss of gas production. Currently we are producing a 14 plate design, which has the ability to produce between 1.5 to 2 litres of gas per minute. This is adequate to increase the mileage on most vehicles by 30 to 40% per gallon. In a few weeks time we will also be producing a new 19 plate cell, which should adequately part fuel any vehicle up to 7.5 litres. Run in series, 3 of these cells should be able to part fuel commercial vehicles up to 15 litres engine capacity, providing immense savings over an operating year! System features and benefits
Diesel Propane Injection System...25% more POWER!!!
The fumigation of diesel with Propane has been known about as a method of increasing power in diesel engines for many years. Indeed it has been used successfully, with no adverse effects, by one U.S. company for over 25 years on large trucks and agricultural equipment. Building on this heritage, we have successfully modified and enhanced the system to work with the more sophisticated and advanced diesels found in Europe. Unlike many other products, and for safety reasons, we use a negative boost system.This only allows gas to enter the engine once it is armed, with the engine running and making a small amount of boost.Others can allow propane to enter the combustion chamber before the engine is operating, with potentially disastrous results! It operates via an adjustable boost switch which opens a control solenoid on the vapouriser/regulator. This in turn allows propane to flow into the vehicles induction tract via a specially designed and metered sparge tube. The volume of gas flowing and mixing with the inducted air is metered in the normal way by the vehicles OE airflow equipment. Over an extensive trial period, it was found that our installed system had dramatic effects on the test vehicle. On a rolling road, our 2.4 TD test vehicle increased its power at the wheels by 25% with a similar increase in torque! Additionally, fuel consumption over a 6 month period moved from an average of 30mpg to nearly 40mpg! Since writing the above, I am pleased to say that our newly introduced demonstrator Alfa Romeo 2.4 JTD, has achieved an amazing 68.7 mpg on a trip from Oxford to Norwich! Even after numerous power runs to show the true potential of the vehicle,it has registered a creditable 56.6 mpg over 1200 very hard miles!!! Currently under development, we have our own unique in car controller. This will allow at the touch of a switch the user to choose an economy, towing or power setting, and will be an upgradeable option to any of our systems. System features and benefits:
Water Methanol Injection Kit....10-15% power gain!!!
Although ideally suited to turbo vehicle applications, our Water Methanol Injection systems have positive benefits for all high performance vehicles. Originally used as a safety product to reduce the opportunity for pre detonation or "pinking", water injection, with or without chemical additives has the potential for creating increased power and economy with safety! As turbo boost pressures increase, so do exhaust gas temperatures. This potentially harmful effect can be minimised by the cooling effect of vapourised water. With the addition of methanol substitute, this also creates more power, due to the octane or cetane rating being increased. In petrol this can virtually eliminate the need for RACE FUEL in high performance applications, changing ordinary 96 octane pump fuel into approx 114 Octane!!! A number of kits are available from a basic pump with fittings, right up to a full boot mount system with integral tank and programmable operating computer. To utilise this system fully you do not have to use expensive and potentially hazardous Methanol. The product that we use is readily available nationwide, costs less than £5 per gallon and in normal use will last around a week!! System features and benefits:
